- :: Plot menu's 2D Special commands
-
-
- █ 2D Special
-
- This menu contains some special 2D
- plot types. These plot types are widely
- used by scientists and engineers. These
- are: histogram chart, step plot, box
- plot, hi-lo plot, and smith chart.
-
- █ Histogram plot
-
- Histogram plot is a special type of
- vertical bar chart. It is useful for
- showing the distribution of values of
- a data set.
-
- █ Step plot
-
- This command sets up a step plot type
- in a Cartesian coordinate system. A
- step plot is a variation of the 2D
- scatter/line plot type.
-
- █ Box plot
-
- This command sets up a 2D box plot type
- in a Cartesian coordinate system. A box
- plot is a special plot type that provide
- statistical information about the
- distribution data. The horizontal lines
- of a box plot mark the minimum point, the
- 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th
- percentile points, and the maximum point
- of the data.
-
- █ Hi-Lo plot
-
- This command sets up 2D hi-lo plot type
- in a Cartesian coordinate system. A
- hi-lo plot is another special plot type
- that provide additional statistical
- information about the distribution data.
- The horizontal lines of a hi-lo plot mark
- the mean, standard deviation and standard
- error of the data. The values are in the
- following increasing order: Mean-2*StdDev,
- Mean-2*StdErr, Mean, Mean+2*StdErr,
- Mean+2*StdDev.
-
- █ Smith chart
-
- A Smith chart is a specially designed
- curve plot that is often used in
- microwave engineering to show impedance
- characteristics.
